On behalf of the Klamath County Sheriff's Office in Klamath Falls Oregon, we send our sincerest sympathy in the recent loss of your Interim Police Chief, Michael Knapp, in the line of duty. It is always a huge loss when a fellow Interim Police Chief makes the ultimate sacrifice. His bravery and courage to protect and serve your community has not gone unnoticed. We also send our prayers and thoughts to the FBI National Academy and The Foreign Service Institute, Untied States Department of State where he was a graduate of. Also to the Milpitas Police Department, the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office and to the Ferndale Police Department where he was Chief of the department where he had all previously served. The California State Bar Association where he was a member of. We thank Interim Chief Knapp's service as a United States Army Veteran.

Heavenly Father, our hearts and prayers go out to the Lynden, Washington Police Department and for the family, friends, and colleagues of Interim Chief of Police Michael Knapp, of the Lynden Police Department, who was struck by a motor vehicle in the Line-of-Duty on Tuesday, November 5, 2019, while heading to a police department-related meeting. He sucuumbed to his injuries the next dat, Wednesday, November 6, 2019. Depart, dear Brother-in-Blue, out of this world into the arms of the Father who created you, into the arms of the Son who redeemed you, and into the arms of the Spirit who made you whole. You have fought the good fight, you have finished the race, and you have kept the faith [Inspired by 2Timothy 4:7]. Now rest easy in peace. We will take it from here. Amen.

The Holy Scriptures proclaim the following:

1. “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.” [Matthew 5:4];
