As a friend for over 12 years, fellow QAP Posse member and fellow Arizona Ranger I never knew him to say a bad or discouraging word to or about anyone. We worked many details together and it became my privilege to witness his compassion first hand. There is nothing like the heart of a Volunteer! Jim Lee was a gift of a human being and will be missed by many. May his spirit live on in the rest of us as we try to uphold this legacy of his. RIP, my friend...Rayl Evans, Arizona Ranger

Heavenly Father, You are always faithful and quick to show mercy. Our Brother-in-Blue, Detention Officer Gene Lee, of the Maricopa County, Arizona Sheriff’s Office, was suddenly and violently taken from us on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 in the Line-of-Duty after being assaulted by an inmate. Come swiftly to his aid, have mercy on him, and comfort his family, friends, and colleagues by the power and protection of the cross. We ask this through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ; for He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one can go to the Father except by way of the Son. Amen.
