Heavenly Father, our hearts and prayers go out to the Texas Department of Public Safety and for the family, friends, and colleagues of Trooper Moises Sanchez, of the Texas Highway Patrol, who was shot in the Line-of-Duty on April 6, 2019 and died of his wounds on Saturday, August 24, 2019. Depart, dear Brother-in-Blue, out of this world into the arms of the Father who created you, into the arms of the Son who redeemed you, and into the arms of the Spirit who made you whole. You have fought the good fight, you have finished the race, and you have kept the faith [Inspired by 2Timothy 4:7]. Now rest easy in peace. We will take it from here. Amen.
Jesus teaches us the following:
1. “Blessed are those who mourn. They will be comforted.” [Matthew 5:4];
2. “Blessed are those who make peace. They will be called God’s children.” [Matthew 5:9];
3. "The greatest love you can show is to give your life for your friends.” [John 15:13], and;
4. “I [Jesus] can guarantee this Truth: Today you will be with Me in Paradise.” [Luke 23:43].

What a terrible & tragic loss for not only those of us in TX Law Enforcement, but for all Texans, most importantly Trooper Sanchez Family & friends. The TX DPS, Texas Highway Patrol is considered the elite of the elite in Texas & rightfully so. They only take the very best & that's definitely true in Trooper Sanchez case. You're a true hero Trooper Sanchez & I deeply thank you for your service & the sacrifice you made to keep the rest of us safe. God Bless you & your family, the TX DPS & all the Troopers who you will live on with in memory! I pray the Lord Jesus Christ will comfort them in this time of grief. Rest in peace brother & as I leave today for my tour of duty on patrol for my PD, I will be wearing the mourning band on my badge in your honor!

Avenue of the Fallen
Standing at attention in their Standing class “A “uniforms, badges gleaming and shoes like glass, are your brothers and sisters of Law Enforcement. All of whom have previously paid the ultimate price.
Today, like many others, they welcome you to this wonderful place.
As you march down the Avenue of the Fallen, all eyes focus on you as if to say “it’s OK, you’re with your eternal partners.”
A salute is followed and a tear can be seen on so many faces.
Welcome, you served well.
Now come join us in the ranks, another is coming home.
