So sorry for the loss of your family member and fellow officer. I believe that conservation officers are a special type of law enforcement. They face so many types of unknown dangers, often alone with help not readily available. Rest easy sir.

The Lord God with us, our hearts and prayers go out to the Red Lake Nation Tribal Conservation Department and for the family, friends, and colleagues of Conservation Officer Shannon "Opie" Barron, of the Red Lake Nation Tribal Conservation Department, who died in the Line-of-Duty on Sunday, July 7, 2019. Depart, dear Brother-in-Blue, out of this world into the arms of the Father who created you, into the arms of the Son who redeemed you, and into the arms of the Spirit who made you whole. You have fought the good fight, you have finished the race, and you have kept the faith [Inspired by 2Timothy 4:7]. Now rest easy in peace. We will take it from here. Amen.

Jesus teaches the following: that those who mourn are fortunate; for they shall be comforted; happy are those who strive for peace – they shall be called the sons [children] of God, and; that you should love each other as much as He loves you. And here is how to measure it – the greatest love is shown when a person lays down his life for his friends. [Inspired by Matthew 5:4, 9 and John 15:12-13]

A police officer should be remembered not by how he died, but how he lived! A great man has gone to secure a safe path for the rest of us to follow. Thank you to you, your family and the Red Lake Nation Conservation Department. Thoughts and support for all the officers involved. Our country is a little less safe without you. Rest in Peace Brother!

The true measure of a person
is not found in the
might of their arm,
their wealth
or their power –
it is found in the strength
of their character.

There is no greater testimony to
ones character, than ones
willingness to sacrifice all,
in the noble quest of
providing protection to all
whom they serve.
