Reflections for Deputy Sheriff Nicolas Blane Dixon
To the family of Deputy Sheriff Nicholas Dixon, friends, Sheriff Gerald Couch and the Hall County Sheriff's Office.
You are lifted up in thought and prayers. May God comfort, hold you close and give you His peace that surpasses all understanding to keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus now and always. Thank you for your service.
"This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has one no than this, then to lay down one's life for his friends. John 15:12 & 13
"For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved." John 3: 16 & 17
"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God." Matthew 5:9

Sorry for your loss of this brave young man and fellow officer. My husband asks me why I cry over the death of all these officers. The reason is I was working in an ER at a small hospital in a small town when a Vietnam Nam vet with PTSD shot and killed two officers and paralyzed a third. We all knew them and it was very hard. This occurred in 1975 and I swore to myself to never ever take police officers again for granted. I shed tears for my friends who died that day as well as those I don’t know. Rest In Peace, brave warrior.

The Lord God with us, our hearts and prayers go out to the Hall County, Georgia Sheriff’s Office and for the family, friends, and colleagues of Deputy Sheriff Nicholas Dixon, of the Hall County Sheriff’s Office, who was shot and killed in the Line-of-Duty on Sunday, July 7, 2019. Depart, dear Brother-in-Blue, out of this world into the arms of the Father who created you, into the arms of the Son who redeemed you, and into the arms of the Spirit who made you whole. You have fought the good fight, you have finished the race, and you have kept the faith [Inspired by 2Timothy 4:7]. Now rest easy in peace. We will take it from here. Amen.
Jesus teaches the following: that those who mourn are fortunate; for they shall be comforted; happy are those who strive for peace – they shall be called the sons [children] of God, and; that you should love each other as much as He loves you. And here is how to measure it – the greatest love is shown when a person lays down his life for his friends. [Inspired by Matthew 5:4, 9 and John 15:12-13]

Hi,
I am local in Gwinnett County. Is there a way to find out who the wife is so that the community can shower her with love or anything she may need. This is heart breaking.

A police officer should be remembered not by how he died, but how he lived! A great man has gone to secure a safe path for the rest of us to follow. Thank you to you, your family and the Hall County Sheriff's Office. Thoughts and support for all the officers involved. Our country is a little less safe without you. Rest in Peace Brother!

Our nation and our state has lost another HERO to unnecessary violence committed by thugs and those with no respect for LEO’S! I hope they catch the rest and put them ALL in jail for the MURDER of a fine, young officer

The true measure of a person
is not found in the
might of their arm,
their wealth
or their power –
it is found in the strength
of their character.
There is no greater testimony to
ones character, than ones
willingness to sacrifice all,
in the noble quest of
providing protection to all
whom they serve.

I'm not civilian law enforcement, but I work for the army in a related capacity in Dahlonega, GA. I drive through Hall County everyday, and wave as I pass your deputies on the road. They always wave back. That old fashioned decency and community is alive and well in North Georgia. It is truly a tragedy when someone loses their life while doing their job protecting others. My thoughts and prayers are with the family of Deputy Dixon, and with his other family at the Sheriff's Office. Nothing will take away the hurt of losing a friend and loved one but time. I know, as I've lost a few myself in Afghanistan as an infantryman. Going back to work and continuing the work you do is the greatest honor you can pay to a fallen hero who gave their last full measure in the commission of duty. Continuing the mission... God bless you all for you all do to keep us safe.
