Lord Jesus, as we watch our nation’s brave law enforcement officers succumb to the wicked and evil in this world, it becomes difficult for us to pick up and move forward. Our communities are on the brink of exploding with tension. In light of the law enforcement officers who are no longer with us, I pray for endurance for our communities and law enforcement agencies. Carry us through this time of strife, that through our struggles, our bonds may grow even more unbreakable. In Your mighty and holy name, I pray. Amen.
“And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.” [Isaiah 6:8 ESV]
“Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.” [Psalm 23:4 ESV]

Dennis Bonelli worked for me in the NY Office of the FBI. He was a remarkable Agent, and friend. He was extremely proud to be an FBI Special Agent and was devoted to the Bureau and our employees. It was entirely in keeping with this devotion that he would volunteer his assistance at the site of the World Trade Center collapse which would eventually claim his life. My condolences to his widow and their daughter, and to his brother. Dennis was a hero!

Another one of the many amazing men and women who gave so selflessly and heroically that day and the many days that followed. Rest in peace always knowing that your service and sacrifice are always remembered by your law enforcement brethren.
