Reflections for Police Officer Natalie Becky Corona
Rest in God's loving embrace, hero. You will never be forgotten.

On this anniversary of you leaving this world, I wanted to thank you again for your dedicated service and sacrifice. This hit close to home because I attended Vacaville High School and I had frequently visited the city of Davis as a teenager. Our high school also played Davis H.S. in Delta League sports. I had written a letter to your father, a retired Colusa S.O. Sergeant, after your line of duty death and he graciously contacted me later. He seemed like such a great person, as I know you were yourself. It was difficult to maintain composure during the conversation. Thanks again for serving the city Davis and the great citizens of California. Your service and sacrifice honor our profession and is forever deeply appreciated.

You are remembered every day, Natalie, but especially so on the holidays.
Your loss deeply impacted our family, and I cannot even imagine how profound your own family's suffering has been. These past two years have been difficult ones for many of us- we have individually and collectively experienced an overabundance of challenges and losses. How I wish you were still amongst us to fill us with your goodness, your stength, and your beautiful, kind spirit. Please know that you live on in our hearts, and the memory of you as a shining and inspiring example will eternally encourage us to be our very best selves.

I am a Corporal at the Mount Airy Police Department, NC, and I am forced to retire now due to an injury on the job. I was involved in a shooting in which I saved my life. I do have some idea about the feeling of loosing one of our sisters, My life was changed dramatically. She is now one of Michael's angel that protects police officers Lieutenant. She is keeping peace in heaven and earth for eternity and will always be remembered. God only knows he plans he had for her to leave this earth and continue his career in heaven. We will never know why some of this tragedies happen, but God only knows her lost is his gain and he created all us. We only have the pain and memories left to keep her alive in our hearts.

I cried that day. I didn’t know you but I thought of my daughter being where you were. I cried like I lost my daughter. We went and put balloons at the sept and at the memorial site. We tied bows on the fence behind the flag that was there. My daughter was with Sacramento police Dept magnet academy at Kennedy high Sacramento. she was blessed to be apart of your funeral. When I pulled up to the wrong parking with officers I said where does public park and explained my daughter was in that program. They instantly said you are family. My heart melted. I got to actually have a seat to go watch the entire funeral. I am glad she got to experience this. Then I drove to the over pass where you passed by. It as very touching and experience. My daughter still is taking classes in college. What ever she wants I support her. I pray for your family. Thanks

I could tell you were exceptional by the photo you had taken with the Thin Blue Line flag, as I read an article about you and how wanted to build some pride in the ranks by displaying the flag of the Thin Blue Line. The critics were claiming the flag was racist, but you were steadfast and strong and pushed back with dignity and grace. That's how I first learned about you, when you were alive and representing our profession with courage, grit and beauty. Now, I can tell I was right about your exceptionality by the fact you VOLUNTEERED part-time as a CSO before become a LEO. And you followed in your father's steps. Who does that but a true-hearted warrior for peace and justice? Nothing is stronger than the heart of a volunteer. Rest in peace, my hero, as you now walk in your other Father's steps.
