Sam Wow! I worked with you when you were still a PPO. I remember your smile, sense of humor and enthusiasm for the job. It's always tragic when a police officer dies in the line of duty. It's painful when it's somebody you knew. My heart was broken

Officer Jimenez, when civilians ran toward safety, you ran toward danger. You gave your life so others could continue theirs. There is no truer mark of a hero. Your sacrifice will not ever be forgotten.

My condolences to the family and friends of Police Officer Samuel Jimenez. Losing a loved one is always difficult. Please try to take comfort in Jesus words found at John 5:28,29 where he said that there would be a resurrection. Just think of the time when you will see your loved ones again, in paradise conditions, here on earth.

Every morning I go to my knees. During that time I pray Psalm 91 over all LEO’s and this prayer also:
“Lord, Be with all law enforcement officers. Keep them safe and free from harm. They are Your soldiers on the front line of the battle against evil. If one should fall this day - wrap their family in your loving arms. Surround them with Your angels, loving family, friends, neighbors and caring people to comfort them. Ease their pain. Help them to mourn well. In Jesus' name and for Your Glory, Amen.”
I know that God sends those angels to watch over our officers, sometimes to protect them and sometimes to whisk our officers into His presence.
Feel His presence as God answers the prayers of many who have fallen to their knees on your behalf. Since the day of my son's death, I have carried every law enforcement officer and their family in my heart.
I have lifted your family to God every morning for over seven years. I pray that Samuel's life and death will bring glory to God.
Trust those prayers. God is with you; He knows and will ease your pain.
Our faith helps us to see beyond the grave.

Officer Jimenez, you will be laid to rest today. Though most of us cannot attend for various reasons, we will all be there. Whenever you see a gap in the lines, those gaps will be filled with the spirits of those of us who cannot get there in person. Those gaps will be filled with those Sisters and Brothers who have gone before you and have escorted you to your last posting. In reality, there are no gaps, it just looks that way to the untrained eye.
So long as those who know and love you best keep you in their hearts and minds, you will never truly be gone.
God Bless and may your eternal rest be ever peaceful, Brother.
