Every morning I go to my knees. During that time I pray Psalm 91 over all LEO’s and this prayer also:
“Lord, Be with all law enforcement officers. Keep them safe and free from harm. They are Your soldiers on the front line of the battle against evil. If one should fall this day - wrap their family in your loving arms. Surround them with Your angels, loving family, friends, neighbors and caring people to comfort them. Ease their pain. Help them to mourn well. In Jesus' name and for Your Glory, Amen.”
I know that God sends those angels to watch over our officers, sometimes to protect them and sometimes to whisk our officers into His presence.
Feel His presence as God answers the prayers of many who have fallen to their knees on your behalf. Since the day of my son's death, I have carried every law enforcement officer and their family in my heart.
I have lifted your family to God every morning for over seven years. I pray that Toshio's life and death will bring glory to God.
Trust those prayers. God is with you; He knows and will ease your pain.
Our faith helps us to see beyond the grave.

A PRAYER DEDICATED TO POLICE OFFICER TOSHIO HIRAI:
God of Mercy, we come boldly and humbly before Your throne in sincere faithful and fervent prayer. You are the Light, the Love, and the Life. We pray for the family and colleagues of Police Officer Toshio Hirai, of the Gardena, California Police Department, who was killed in the Line-of-Duty when his police motorcycle collided with another vehicle within an intersection. We thank Police Officer Toshio Hirai for his service to his community, state, and country. He is a "True Blue Hero". Bless the lives of his family so that they might find healing. Help the Gardena Police Department comfort and support his family in their time of grief. Even though his death may have been senseless, make something good come out of this incident so that the Gardena Police Department and the City of Gardena, in which Police Officer Toshio Hirai served, might be stronger because of his life and death. We pray all these things, in His mighty and holy name. Amen.
Rest in Peace our Hero-in-Blue. We will take it from here! God speed my Brother-in-Blue! And for the family, friends, and the Gardena Police Department, in which he served, please find comfort in Jesus’ words, “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.” [Matthew 5:4]. For the Lord Jesus proclaimed, “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons [children] of God." [Matthew 5:9] and "Greater love has no one than this that someone lay down his life for his friends." [John 15:13]. For the Lord Jesus promised, “… Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise!” [Luke 23:43].

My first CHP office was in South LA (1969) which was located in Gardena California. What a great little city with a great Police Department. Losing a fellow Motor officer is a sad day in our Law Enforcement family. Your service to your City and your love of your family, both in Blue as well as your wonderful family will not ever be forgotten Semper Fi.
