To know Brian was to love him. A love that neither time nor distance could diminish. We were close in college. He was the type who always had a smile on his face, filling the room with laughter. I cannot imagine the experiences he had once joining the FBI but I know some experiences can change a person forever. I hope that the smile never left him. I hope his family can heal. The world lost an amazing person when he left us. Those who knew him know the truth of these words. Be at peace, Brian. You definitely made a difference.

Every morning I go to my knees. During that time I pray Psalm 91 over all LEO’s and this prayer also:
“Lord, Be with all law enforcement officers. Keep them safe and free from harm. They are Your soldiers on the front line of the battle against evil. If one should fall this day - wrap their family in your loving arms. Surround them with Your angels, loving family, friends, neighbors and caring people to comfort them. Ease their pain. Help them to mourn well. In Jesus' name and for Your Glory, Amen.”
I know that God sends those angels to watch over our officers, sometimes to protect them and sometimes to whisk our officers into His presence.
Feel His presence as God answers the prayers of many who have fallen to their knees on your behalf. Since the day of my son's death, I have carried every law enforcement officer and their family in my heart.
I have lifted your family to God every morning for over seven years. I pray that Brian's life and death will bring glory to God.
Trust those prayers. God is with you; He knows and will ease your pain.
Our faith helps us to see beyond the grave.

On behalf of my family, I extend our sincerest condolences on the grievous loss you suffered when Brian died.
To the Crews family, fellow agents, and all who call Brian beloved, my heart goes out to all of you and may you find comfort in your loved ones and your strength in your faith. When my son was killed, the entire law enforcement community in our area embraced us in a circle of love and support, and I know you will receive the same support. It makes the unbearable less torturous, and I pray for your solace. I hope that your family knows that a nation mourned for you. We shall never forget our 9/11 heroes.
This reflection is sent with the utmost respect for the dedicated service Agent Crews gave to his community and the citizens of our country and for the supreme sacrifice he and his family made on June 10, 2018.

Rest in peace Special Agent Crews, my sincere condolences to your family and to your department. We all wanted to be there to help but had to protect our facilities. As a brother in arms and a retired military veteran. I wanted to jump into the car to be there with you. My Veteran Affairs Medical Center had personnel watching that we chased off and turned information to HS Department. God speed as you now patrol the streets of gold.
