Tyler, you were the light in every room we went into during the academy together. You are a natural born leader and I know you will continue to be one in heaven. Please watch over us along with the other 29 troopers we have lost in this agency. You are family, all 33 of us in the academy would have taken that bullet for you. We love you Tyler your legacy will never be forgotten.

Every morning I go to my knees. During that time I pray Psalm 91 over all LEO’s and this prayer also:

“Lord, Be with all law enforcement officers. Keep them safe and free from harm. They are Your soldiers on the front line of the battle against evil. If one should fall this day - wrap their family in your loving arms. Surround them with Your angels, loving family, friends, neighbors and caring people to comfort them. Ease their pain. Help them to mourn well. In Jesus' name and for Your Glory, Amen.”

I know that God sends those angels to watch over our officers, sometimes to protect them and sometimes to whisk our officers into His presence.

Feel His presence as God answers the prayers of many who have fallen to their knees on your behalf. Since the day of my son's death, I have carried every law enforcement officer and their family in my heart.

I have lifted your family to God every morning for over seven years. I pray that Tyler's life and death will bring glory to God.

Trust those prayers. God is with you; He knows and will ease your pain.

Our faith helps us to see beyond the grave.

Our hearts and prayers go out to your loved ones & fellow-officers. May they all find the needed strength & comfort in our Lord Jesus Christ at this most difficult time.

"Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted". Matthew 5 v 4

Trooper Edenhofer sacrificed and gave the greatest gift which ANY man could give - his life!

And to all law enforcement who remain.. to carry on.. Your tireless, unselfish dedication which you display every day & night as you perform your duties (often in the face of vile abuse, disrespect, and worse,) is deeply appreciated by so many more than you could have ever imagined; and we thank God constantly for your untiring unselfish service & sacrifice, performed day after day, Please be assured.. it never goes unnoticed. The Great One above who neither slumbers or sleeps, well He watches over you, with an unwearying eye... and may you find encouragement and comfort in these few words, found in Matthew Ch. 5:

"9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: ....... "
