PRAYERS TO THE FAMILY AND FRIENDS OF OFFICER GROMM. THE HEAVENS ABOVE GAINED A BROTHER IN ARMS AND A WARRIOR. YOUR SERVICE WILL BE MISSED. ANY DEPARTMENT THAT LOSES A BROTHER IS A TRAGIC LOSE. I UNDERSTAND THE RIGERS OF THE CORRECTIONS FIELD WITH LONG HOURS, STAFF SHORTAGES AND DEMANDING DUTIES. NO ONE DESERVES TO LOSE THEIR LIFE TO THE HANDS OF CRIMINALS. YOU WILL BE DEEPLY MISSED BY ALL WHO LOVE AND CARE ABOUT YOU

Hello.my name is Officer Pointer w/ Nueces County Sheriff's Office .My Deepest sympathy goes out to his family. The public does not understand the dangers we face on a daily basis. We go to work report to shift and it's like okay how to suvive and make it home in one piece. The problem is these inmates have been given to many rights and comforts so now we have become their prey
It is time for things to change. We are not getting support from our government to protect our officers. When is this going to stop? Are more Officers going to have to lose their lives before we are heard.

Officer S.Pointer
Nieces County Sheriff's Office ,Corpus Christi . Texas
