Today has been very tragic for law enforcement. I just received a news alert regarding three Kansas City, MO Officers being shot while attempting to arrest a suspect wanted in a robbery-homicide. Thankfully, all three are expected to survive.
My thoughts and prayers go out to the Chesna family and members of the Weymouth PD. May the Lord comfort you during this time of sorrow.

“Dear Lord, Be with me on my best this day and every day. Grant that each weary block I walk, may ease a brother’s way. Let me be kind to the old and to the young, be strong. But let me triumph over those whose acts are cruel and wrong. And if according to your plan, I am to lose my life, please bless with your protecting hand my family.”

We, at the Zone 5 Regional Law Enforcement Training Academy, express our deepest condolences.
