"The Hero's Recompense"

It has been said that a coward dies a thousand deaths and a Hero dies but once. I personally do not subscribe to that thought. For it is my belief, that our God reclaims the most worthy of souls and calls upon their service repeatedly, throughout time immemorial. These noble souls live on, as God's favored Hero's. Those who have dedicated or sacrificed their lives to that most worthy of causes, the battle between good and evil, God's eternal war; will live on to fight another day, in countless lifetimes.

Amy, it is because I believe this, I know that I will stand with you again my Sister, perhaps not in this life but most assuredly in the next. Until then, enjoy your brief respite with our God, rest in his loving embrace, heal your wounds and visit with loved ones passed. Soon you will again answer his call to arms. You will suit up and ride out with others of your kind, to fight that good fight once more; for this is the Glorious Honor that the cowards of this world will never know. We define cowards as those who live with malice in their hearts, those who would do harm unto the innocent and the good and those who would stand idly by and allow evil to flourish. These cold and timid souls will ultimately suffer their one and only infamous and uncelebrated demise.......However, you my Sister will be Immortal. Your brave soul will sail on across the seas of time, as it has since the very beginning, always and forever in our Lords service. For you Officer Amy Caprio, are one of God's Hero's and this, is the Hero's Recompense.

Just an old, retired "Sarge".

Officer Caprio, we in the entire Perry Hall/Nottingham/White Marsh communities THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts for your selfless service to the citizens of our great Baltimore County. You SO BRAVELY confronted the threat at hand and sacrificed your life to keep all of us safe. We love and appreciate you more than you ever would have known. An attack on you was an attack on ALL of us in this community. Your almost four years of service in BCoPD was not abruptly ended in vain... You stared at evil intentions straight in the face and confronted them with such courage! If it wasn't for your response to the call for service investigating this burglary, we would not have four reckless criminals off of our streets right now. Because of you, these four fools that possess such blatant disregard for human life and for authority will not be able to harm anyone else. One of the best law enforcement agencies in the nation has suffered quite a loss, and we are grieving WITH family and friends. Officer Caprio, you are a TRUE HERO, and will NEVER be forgotten in our hearts and minds. May God reward you tremendously, and we will see you in heaven, our dear sister.
