I now certainly think about dangers our Troopers have on a daily basis. If only human kind could do what is right.
Your accident never had to happen, you leave behind so many loved ones.
I have now gained a deeper respect and understanding of how dangerous it is to be a State Trooper, to serve and protect citizens.
You will always be remembered by your community, I know your family and friends love you very much! You certainly will be missed!

Every morning I go to my knees. During that time I pray Psalm 91 over all LEO’s and this prayer also:

“Lord, Be with all law enforcement officers. Keep them safe and free from harm. They are Your soldiers on the front line of the battle against evil. If one should fall this day - wrap their family in your loving arms. Surround them with Your angels, loving family, friends, neighbors and caring people to comfort them. Ease their pain. Help them to mourn well. In Jesus' name and for Your Glory, Amen.”

I know that God sends those angels to watch over our officers, sometimes to protect them and sometimes to whisk our officers into His presence.

Feel His presence as God answers the prayers of many who have fallen to their knees on your behalf. Since the day of my son's death, I have carried every law enforcement officer and their family in my heart.

I have lifted your family to God every morning for over six years. I pray that Samuel's life and death will bring glory to His name.

Trust those prayers. God is with you; He knows and will ease your pain.

Our faith helps us to see beyond the grave.

Members of the Westerville, Ohio Division of Police understand this pain. Our staff asks that everyone offer condolences and share this link. The Morelli, Joering and our Police families received love and support from all over the world when Tony and Eric were killed in the line of duty. That provided strength during that tragic time.

We ask that everyone send that same level of love and support to the immediate family of Trooper Samuel Newton Bullard and the extended law enforcement family of the North Carolina Highway Patrol, North Carolina.

Rest in Peace brother and watch over us. We will protect and serve from here on in your memory.

I fight not for glory or fame, for they are momentary. I fight for those who can't. I fight for Justice. I fight for the oppressed and the down trodden. And if I should lose my life for these just causes, then I have no regrets, For I serve to protect the innocent. It matters not where or when, for evil knows no boundaries. Be it fire, flood, or the threat of tyranny, I will not flee. Justice is my weapon. Faith is my shield. Hope is my armor. Cry not at my passing, for it was my Honor to fight for you. Shed not tears of sorrow, But tears of joy, for now, I stand with God.
