You will be missed dearly Deputy Inspector General Hale, you were a great mentor to me and made me feel at home and at ease, you were someone I looked up to and wanted to be and you treated me like one of the family and that meant more than anything to me. A police officer should be remembered not by how he died, but how he lived! A great man has gone to secure a safe path for the rest of us to follow. Thank you to you, your family and the Texas Juvenile Justice Department - Office of Inspector General. Our country is a little less safe without you. Rest in Peace Brother.
