The true measure of a person
is not found in the
might of their arm,
their wealth
or their power –
it is found in the strength
of their character.

There is no greater testimony to
ones character, than ones
willingness to sacrifice all,
in the noble quest of
providing protection to all
whom they serve.

A Prayer for Master Deputy Sheriff James Lester Kirk, Jr.:

Lord God, I boldly and humbly come before Your throne in sincere faithful and fervent prayer as we remember in this moment our Brother-in-Blue, Master Deputy Sheriff James Lester Kirk, Jr., of the Lancaster, South Carolina Sheriff’s Office, who sacrificed his life in the Line-of-Duty. We recall with gratitude and respect all that he stood for in this life. Help us to live in the companionship of his spirit. May we be kind to the family, friends, and colleagues he loved; devoted to the community and state in which he served; and loyal to the causes which he championed in law enforcement. For the Scripture says: God blesses those who work for peace for they will be called the children of God ; there is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends; I [Jesus] assure you, today you will be with me in Paradise, and; God blesses those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Thus, in our life, may Master Deputy Sheriff James Lester Kirk, Jr. live on, to our great comfort, to the betterment of Your creation, and to the furthering of Your most Holy Will. Amen

We have your patrol from here, Master Deputy Sheriff James Lester Kirk, Jr. Rest easy, our Brother-in-Blue, you are now in the hands of the Lord God.
