You made the ultimate sacrifice. People should recognize that for what it truly is. Condolences to your family, friends, and colleagues, and to the community that lost you.

My father was a cop for 43 years. I get this as much as I am able. I pray that they take the care of your canine partner that s/he truly deserves, because s/he will really be hurting too, yet not have the benefit (?) of understanding why you are no longer there.

Rest in peace brave man.
