i never worked with or for the police. i never knew you. all the men in my family did 4 or 5 years in the military, then worked a factory type job until retirement. thats exactly what i did, too. except i'm far from retirement. now, my military days are 10 years ago. i rarely think about my military time. even when i do, i think about my friends and adventures. but then i ended up on the crew that did your charity race 5k run. i remember looking at your car, covered in flowers. i even took a picture of a little statue on your light bar. maybe 14 hours after the event, i was going over all my pictures and doing my photoshop thing and i noticed the coins. it's been 10 years since the last time i thought about the coins. i had no idea the police used the coin tradition. i learned a lot that day. not by asking people, but by watching them. i left you a penny. if i remember correctly, thats the correct coin to use.
no rank. joshua beaman.
i never knew him, and the man who signs my paycheck is irrelevant.

Saturday November 17th I had the privilege of meeting officer Maddox’s wife & oldest son Bradin! As 1 of the pediatrics nursing assistants, I can tell you “I’m in love “. PS .. the entire staff didn’t want to “give him back” not even knowing his story.... ❤️ He’s ours. Jeri Nicholson PNA/CNA

I never met you but I remember the day like it was yesterday. I was working with Atlanta Police Department and was assigned to the precinct at the hospital where you were transported. I met several of your family members that day. I remember seeing the ambulance that you were in, leaving the hospital, while being escorted by APD's motorcycle unit. I couldn't help but tear up as the ambulance drove past.

I hope that everyone can find comfort in Revelation 21:4 where it says, "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." Until we see him again in Paradise, please accept my condolences.

On behalf of my family, I extend our sincerest condolences on the grievous loss you suffered when Chase was killed in the line of duty.
To the Maddox family, fellow deputies , and all who call Chase beloved, my heart goes out to all of you and may you find comfort in your loved ones and your strength in your faith. When my son was killed, the entire law enforcement community in our area embraced us in a circle of love and support, and I know you will receive the same support. It makes the unbearable less torturous, and I pray for your solace. I hope that your family knows that a nation mourned for you.
This reflection is sent with the utmost respect for the dedicated service Chase gave to his community and the citizens of Georgia and for the supreme sacrifice he and his family made on February 9, 2018.

Deepest condolences to Family, Department and Friends. Visit the web site ImagineHeaven.net for a glimpse of the Glorious Reunions awaiting. All law enforcement men and women indeed qualify as "Foxhole Christians" with their duty dangers. As Ray Comfort at LivingWater.com says "Passing is the doormat they wipe their feet on before entering Heaven.” It is our belief they will hear from the Lord Himself. “Do not fear. for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the Kingdom” (Luke 12:12).

Dear Chase;
Many years ago, Sir Winston Churchill said, “Never before, have so many, owed so much, to so few”. And that comment best describes you. “…have so many”, the American public we swore to protect, “owed so much”, their very lives, the lives of their families and their homes, “to so few”. We few, we happy few. We band of brothers. And you are and will always be, one of our brothers. I will not be making a mention of the bastard that did this, except to say I’m glad he was sent to hell.
I wish that those who visit this sacred site, reflect when they read this and the other comments left, with the understanding on how much sacrifice, the never-ending sacrifice your family now must make. I hope they will appreciate that your kids, including a newborn baby, will never be able to see their Dad, play with him, go fishing, or enjoy their first shave with you. I hope they reflect on what it REALLY means, “To Protect and Serve”, and that it’s a code we live by, not a cliché. I pray that they will reflect on how safe they are in their homes at night, and can rest easy. I hope they recall the Bible; “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God’.
I pray Almighty God watches over your wife and children, keeps you close to His heart. Look down on us and know you did your job, kept your oath, and, though our Blue Line is a bit thinner, it has, and always will, hold. God bless you, your family, and are beloved law enforcement officers.
Rest in peace. Amen

like the military services, our police officers, sheriff's, & deputies; corrections officers as well as fire fighters along with their families know the terrible price of freedom. We are the one percent who care for our freedoms enough to put it all on the line so our fellow citizens can go about their lives in relative safety. We do this for all our citizens, even those who don't deserve it and abuse us for our adherence to our common values for the benefit of ALL. My prayers go out to Officer Maddox's family, and the Locust Grove P.D. My Dept., I have served for 32 years and which my oldest son has been serving for three, has also felt this sting of loss more than once thank you for your service and sacrifice Lt.
