A Prayer for Corrections Officer Thomas C. Bunker:

Lord God, I boldly and humbly come before Your throne in sincere faithful and fervent prayer as we remember in this moment our Brother-in-Blue, Corrections Officer Thomas C. Bunker, of the Otsego County, Michigan Sheriff’s Office, who sacrificed his life in the Line-of-Duty. We recall with gratitude and respect all that he stood for in this life. Help us to live in the companionship of his spirit. May we be kind to the family, friends, and colleagues he loved; devoted to the county and state in which he served; and loyal to the causes which he championed in law enforcement. For Scripture says: God blesses those who work for peace for they will be called the children of God ; there is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends; I [Jesus] assure you, today you will be with me in paradise, and; God blesses those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Thus, in our life, may Corrections Officer Thomas C. Bunker live on, to our great comfort, to the betterment of Your creation, and to the furthering of Your most Holy Will. Amen.
