Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Officer East. None of us truly believe our names will appear on this page. None of us wakes up realizing it will be our last day on earth. We cannot indulge in such reflection, for to do so is to admit to our own frail mortality. We soldier forward, ever the sheepdog, no matter the cost. I pray for peace and comfort for the family of Officer East, and share in their heartfelt grief.
