Reflections for Lieutenant Donald Heath Meyer
Heath we were friends and eventho we wore different uniform colors. We both worked the same streets and dealt with the same desperados. I was there with you in there in the Trauma TX Room. I could not bear the thought of you being all alone amongst strangers.
God will grant you eternal rest. Be assured that We Have The Watch From here.

Oklahoma City Police Dept.

A Prayer for Lieutenant D. Heath Meyer:
Lord God, you are always faithful and quick to show mercy. Our Brother-in-Blue, Lieutenant D. Heath Meyer, of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, was taken from us in the Line-of-Duty. Come swiftly to his aid, have mercy on him, and comfort his family, friends, and colleagues by the power and protection of the Cross. Almighty God, we ask that you grant us a deeper appreciation of the efforts of all police officers who serve our communities and states daily. For their dedication to our security, order and peace, we give You thanks. May they be encouraged in their work which benefits us all. Help us to grow that spirit of community that will make their job both easy and fulfilling. And now may our fellowship together and Your blessing today bring a renewed sense of joy to each of us. Heavenly Father, as we mourn the death of our Brother-in-Blue, Lieutenant D. Heath Meyer, show us the immense power of your goodness and strengthen our belief that he has entered into Your presence. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Lt. Meyer, such a horrific and tragic incident for ALL involved. I pray for everyone who had anything to do with this, but most especially for those who know and love you most for they will feel the loss more than anyone else. So long as they keep you forever in their hearts and minds, you'll never truly be gone.
Rest in Peace, Brother and may your eternal rest be ever peaceful.
