Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Police Officer Nathan Michael Desjardins

Doesn't seem real. We spoke with you and your partner as you rode up river past our camp. only a couple hours later we were assisting first responders from the river to the ambulances on our road. I had a lump in my throat then and still do especially as we heard the heartbreaking news. You won't be forgotten and our flag at camp will be at half mast all summer in your honor.

Officer Nathan, you lost your life as you tried to save lives. What a noble act, exactly what Jesus did when He died on the cross for our sins. He will take care of You, immerse you in His Divine Mercy. He is the Living Water sent by God. Rest in eternal peace.

God, filled with mercy, dwelling in the heavens' heights,
bring proper rest beneath the wings of your Lord,
amid the ranks of the holy and the pure,
illuminating like the brilliance of the skies the soul of Nathan Desjardins who went to his eternal place of rest.
May You who are the source of mercy shelter him beneath Your wings eternally,
and bind his soul among the living, that he may rest in peace. And let us say: Amen.

I hope time heals the pain that family are feeling; because time is the only way for such a deep wound as this to mend. When God sent His angels to bring you home He had His reasons. Someday we will be able to ask why?

God rest his soul. Rest In Peace.....
