I am honored to have worked with Keith. He consistently treated people with the compassion you'd expect from a family member. He went above and beyond in everything he worked and was a mentor to all who worked with him. For that, he was "The light of the world who's light shined before others". Rest in peace good friend.

I am writing to you today to express my great sorrow for the loss of officer Keith Boyer, Keith was killed honorably in the line of duty, and I just want you to know how grateful we are for that ultimate sacrifice. The death of an officer is always a great tragedy. When I was assigned to the Whittier Courthouse, I had the pleasure of meeting Keith and his fellow partners. I remember Keith always came into the courthouse with a great command presence and took the time to greet everyone as he conducted his business at the court. God Bless you brother, watch over us all from heaven above.

Keith and I worked together when we were just getting started in police work. In the jail, dispatch and we were reserve officers together. He was a great partner and made it so I looked forward to coming to work. He was the type of person that always cared about others first and wouldn't have it any other way. Would've gave you the shirt off his back, if he could. I'm going to really miss you Keith, the Lord needed a hero by his side.
