Reflections for Police Officer Keith Wayne Boyer
Such an unnecessary death. I hope this incident brings about change in the law enforcement community. Had the murder and vehicle theft been immediately sent out on the radio, the encounter would have turned out very differently.

"So many names Upon the wall,
And God’s arms Hold them all.
Fathers and sons, Sisters too,
Died for the badge, Died for the blue.
Hopes and dreams Died also that day,
With their last breath Such a sad price to pay
Though others will follow In their shoes,
There’s room for them In God’s arms too.
In God’s loving arms These men shall ever rest,
Their badges shining proudly Upon their blue chests." Thank you for your service.

Based on the stories I've heard, Mr. Keith Boyer was a humble man and police officer. He dedicated his life to serving his community and his family. The amount of humility that he instilled was admirable. He was a kind and genuine man with a big heart. I strive to one day be a hard-working, skilled, and compassionate officer like Mr. Boyer. I feel incredibly privileged to partake in our LASD Class 421 colors run which is in honor of Mr. Boyer. His character and spirit will live on forever through the people who love him. Rest In Love Keith Boyer.

"A Hero's Welcome"
By Robert Longley
Time to come home dear brother
Your tour of duty through
You’ve given as much as anyone
Could be expected to do
Just a few steps further
The smoke will start to clear
Others here will guide you
You have no need of fear
You have not failed your brothers
You clearly gave it all
And through your selfless actions
Others will hear the call
So take your place of honor
Among those who have gone before
And know you will be remembered
For now and evermore

Every morning I go to my knees. During that time I pray Psalm 91 over all LEO’s and this prayer also:
“Lord, Be with all law enforcement officers. Keep them safe and free from harm. They are Your soldiers on the front line of the battle against evil. If one should fall this day - wrap their family in your loving arms. Surround them with Your angels, loving family, friends, neighbors and caring people to comfort them. Ease their pain. Help them to mourn well. In Jesus' name and for Your Glory, Amen.”
Feel His presence as God answers the prayers of many who have fallen to their knees on your behalf. Since the day of my son's death, I have carried every law enforcement officer and their family in my heart.
I have lifted your family to God every morning for over six years. I pray that Keith's life and death will bring glory to His name.
Trust those prayers. God is with you; He knows and will ease your pain.

Kieth,
I remember you in the band in high school and a police explore. I enjoyed working with you as a officer and you became a good friend and coworker. I'll miss seeing you in the hallway and asking each other how our days are going.
Your family is so strong and they gave me strength to move forward. I will continue to work and make you proud my brother.

The day the Lord took him home definitely turned off the lights that once shined so bright with his service in the City of Whittier. All his hard work and dedication of service definitely shined bright. His compassion for those who had the honor of knowing him and those of the community will never be forgotten. Although I did not have the privilege of knowing him, I can definitely tell he was a Superhero and not just anyone can be one. I would like to express my condolences to the family and to Whittier PD. May the Lord be with us all during this difficult time.
God Bless

Sir, I attended the services last night for you. Your family, partners, and friends all had great things to say about you as a person, family man, and street cop. Some good funny stories too (gotta love cop humor). It sounded like you did it right in the short time we had you.
To my brothers and sisters at Whittier PD. You guys did it right. You guys have taken care of Keith's family and supported each other well. I was impressed with the class that you all displayed last night during the memorial service.
