After 9/11 2001, many first responders have suffered through long term illness, or mental disorders because of what they had to go through helping many affected people and their families..... some, have had minor respiratory infections, others have suffered through much more. Even brain cancer, and are just passing because of the nasty effects of chemicals, asbestos etc. they couldn't and didn't put respiratory masks on, because they cared about others, they paid the ultimate sacrifice. Cancer is not fun, wether any of us have went through that ourselves, or have seen loved ones go through it. It's not fun, and is miserable long term. This officer, helped many on that day.... he felt it personally, he saw it in his own eyes with how bad this world can be..... he passed away on January 30th of 2017, in physical pain.... him, and many others with such large hearts that were willing to go in and assist in what I would probably describe a war zone, makes him and other first responders/ civilians that helped angels among us....
I'm probably rambling now, but I just wanna make my point clear now... many helped, and have sines passed or going through Long term illness, please remember that some may just have it worse then some of us. I have too many words in my head to get down on this Facebook post, but all I can say is that we should all pray.
God Bless our various EMS services, and LEO's. Not just from the FDNY, or NYPD, but everywhere else too. When someone responds to a tragedy, mental or physical illness can come sooner after, whenever you never know, and they may never know either.
God Bless you all,and what you do.. stay safe out there.

A Prayer for Deputy Chief of Police James G. Molloy:
Lord God, you are always faithful and quick to show mercy. Our Brother-in-Blue, Deputy Chief of Police James G. Molloy, of the New York City, New York Police Department, was taken from us in the Line-of-Duty. Come swiftly to his aid, have mercy on him, and comfort his family, friends, and colleagues by the power and protection of the Cross. Heavenly Father, as we mourn the death of our Brother-in-Blue, Deputy Chief of Police James G. Molloy, show us the immense power of your goodness and strengthen our belief that he has entered into Your presence. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
“God blesses those who are poor and realize their need for him, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs. God blesses those who mourn, for they will be comforted. God blesses those who are humble, for they will inherit the whole earth. God blesses those who hunger and thirst for justice, for they will be satisfied. God blesses those who are merciful, for they will be shown mercy. God blesses those whose hearts are pure, for they will see God. God blesses those who work for peace, for they will be called the children of God. God blesses those who are persecuted for doing right, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs." [Matthew 5:3-10 NLT]
"For the policeman does not frighten people who are doing right; but those doing evil will always fear him. So if you don't want to be afraid, keep the laws and you will get along well. The policeman is sent by God to help you. But if you are doing something wrong, of course you should be afraid, for he will have you punished. He is sent by God for that very purpose. Obey the laws, then, for two reasons: first, to keep from being punished, and second, just because you know you should." [Romans 13:3-5 TLB]
"There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends." [John 15:13 NLT]
"Well done, my good and faithful servant." [Matthew: 25:21 NLT]
