A Prayer for Trooper Landon E. Weaver:

Lord God, you are always faithful and quick to show mercy. Our Brother-in-Blue, Trooper Landon E. Weaver, of the Pennsylvania State Police, was taken from us in the Line-of-Duty. Come swiftly to his aid, have mercy on him, and comfort his family, friends, and colleagues by the power and protection of the Cross. Heavenly Father, as we mourn the death of our Brother-in-Blue, Trooper Landon E. Weaver, show us the immense power of your goodness and strengthen our belief that he has entered into Your presence. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

“God blesses those who are poor and realize their need for him, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs. God blesses those who mourn, for they will be comforted. God blesses those who are humble, for they will inherit the whole earth. God blesses those who hunger and thirst for justice, for they will be satisfied. God blesses those who are merciful, for they will be shown mercy. God blesses those whose hearts are pure, for they will see God. God blesses those who work for peace, for they will be called the children of God. God blesses those who are persecuted for doing right, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs." [Matthew 5:3-10 NLT]

"For the policeman does not frighten people who are doing right; but those doing evil will always fear him. So if you don't want to be afraid, keep the laws and you will get along well. The policeman is sent by God to help you. But if you are doing something wrong, of course you should be afraid, for he will have you punished. He is sent by God for that very purpose. Obey the laws, then, for two reasons: first, to keep from being punished, and second, just because you know you should." [Romans 13:3-5 TLB]

"There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends." [John 15:13 NLT]

"Well done, my good and faithful servant." [Matthew: 25:21 NLT]

For Trooper Landon E. Weaver:

The duty of the law-officer, nation-wide, is to protect and serve. While having to face almost impossible odds at times, it is a primary duty is to attempt remain alive in the process. It is a difficult task understood, perhaps, by only law-officers and our fighting-military professionals. A heavy thought that makes all of us who wear a badge, if only for a moment, ponder our fate. Sometimes concerning this hesitation, especially at present when the news media many times portrays us unfairly as wanton killers, it is we who are killed. As in the military, survival is primary to all else. Survival rests inside us and how to act when in extreme danger is really no one's decision but our own. No amount of training can do this, perhaps only hard-learned experience.
We regret that Landon would be the next law-officer to die protecting others. Our loss is greater than thoughts expressed when either written or spoken. Any death of a law-officer is tragic, but it is compounded in this case because Trooper Weaver was just beginning his career in a proud, noble, and honorable profession.
We pray for Landon's wife, family, co-workers, and friends. May they be prompt to attend to one another's grief.
We are proud to render a final salute to Trooper Landon E. Weaver, our courageous brother, and a brave young soldier-of-the law.

God be with the family and fellow officers of this hero. His service will not be forgotten. We all lose no matter whuch state we live in when one of the finest are taken from us. He was there as many do to protect a citizen from a person who intended harm. I hope the person who he protected appreciates that he sacraficed himself for them. I hope all Americ realizes who much these heroes put on the line everyday. May justice be done to the criminal who did this foul act. No Parole For Cop Killers!! My heart goes out to you the family.
