On today, the 80th anniversary of your death I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice-not just as a Law Enforcement Officer but for our Country as well when you served with the U.S. Army in Europe fighting the Germans during WW I as a member of the 1st Division-the “Big Red One.”

On today, the 76th anniversary of your death I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice-not just as a Law Enforcement Officer but for our Country as well when you served with the U.S. Army in Europe fighting the Germans during WW I and being awarded the DSC for Extraordinary Heroism(the Army's highest award for bravery second only to the Medal of Honor).
