Reflections for Keeper Thomas Hewlett
Keeper Hewlett, it has been 209 years since you were taken from us. The prison where you sacrificed your life for the citizens was closed long ago and is now an elderly housing complex where my in-laws lived.
Northern New England law enforcement has continued to thrive, learn and become safer due to the traditions and sacrifices you, your family, and many others have made for us. Thank you for your law enforcement service.

A man of apparent peace was murdered by a man of violence and a total lack of morals. It's sad his execution too almost 4 years, yours was over in just a couple of weeks.
God Bless and thank you for your service to the people of Vermont, Brother. Rest in Peace.

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 102nd anniversary year of your death. I am privileged to be among the first to leave a tribute to you.
Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.

Keeper Hewlett,
On today, the 202nd anniversary of your death I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for the citizens of the state of Vermont. It took another 4 years but your murderer got the justice that he deserved. It's nice to know that at one time the state of Vermont knew how to deal with cop killers.
