Two reflections are not enough to honor a man who gave his life in the pursuit of his duties. Today I honor Detective Strayer, who may rest in the knowledge that he is remembered today.

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 89th anniversary year of your death. I am privileged to be among the first to leave a tribute to you.
Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.
Phyllis Lasater Loya
mom of fallen Pittsburg Officer Larry Lasater, eow 4/24/05

Detective Strayer, thank you for helping to protect one of the reasons America is the great country that it is, it's railroads.
This page does not indicated whatever happened to your murderer, but we can all know that, either in this world or the next, he faced true justice.
God Bless and may your eternal rest remain peaceful, Brother.
