I find myself looking at ODMP every day and am so saddened that another hero has lost his life in one of our communities. No matter whether the life is taken intentionally or as part of a tragic accident, the pain of that loss is still felt by all of us who have chosen to serve in this honorable profession.
To the family and friends of Trooper Ellsworth I hope you take some comfort in knowing that he lived a life so few choose to do, yet one so very important in making our country and its communities worthwhile places to live. I pray that his spirit will live on in our hearts and that we may live a life as remarkable as his.
