A police officer should be remembered not by how he died, but how he lived! A great man has gone to secure a safe path for the rest of us to follow. Thank you to you, your family and the San Antonio Police Department. Our country is a little less safe without you. Rest in Peace Brother!

Detective Marconi, thank you sir for your service. The deranged coward who ambushed and murdered you is the lowest form of life on this planet. Apparently, there is a target on every cops back today. Is there a war on law and order? Where every person an officer has contact with is assumed to be planning an ambush? This offender must be caught, and has to pay the price with his own life. Thankfully, the great State of Texas has the Death Penalty for such mayhem. The law abiding citizens of San Antonio are mourning their loss. We will keep your family and Department in our thoughts. Please watch over us as we carry on.

Ben,
Your life was a reflection of what my Dad meant when he helped revised the ROTC at TAIU- strong people taking care of others in the name of service. Thank you for your friendship all those years ago and thank you for protecting those who needed protecting. May God bless your family.

All gave some but some gave all. It wasn't your time to go but someone took your life from you. You have served this country with the utmost sacrifice, dedication and pride. For that I thank you. Rest in peace for we shall stand and take guard in your place. For there is no greater love than this that he would lay down his life for a friend - John 15:13.
