Reflections for Deputy Commander Patrick Thomas Carothers
Rest in Peace and my prayers are going out to your family. I know my prayers don't bring you back, but hopefully they help everyone find their way without you. I won't thank you for giving your life to make this a better world for the rest of us. Giving a life was never what any of us wanted. Bless you and bless those left behind. The world is a better place due to your years of serving. Hugs-

It will be a very sad Thanksgiving as family will mourn the death of Patrick Carothers who was killed by a gunman who was wanted in South Carolina for weapons, attempted murder of police officers and domestic violence in that state. He will be missed by all the agents at the United States Marshal Services and by his family. It will be a very sad Thanksgiving and Christmas without him. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and all of the agents of the United States Marshal Services

I first met Pat in 1992 as part of a team, involved in a 10 week violent fugitive apprehension program, in Atlanta, GA. He was a young DUSM who was squared away. I worked with Pat on numerous other operations and occasions. Pat was a true professional who led from the front. Pat was also a great father and friend to those who were luck enough to know him. RIP my friend. Your loss with be felt nation wide...
