Reflections for Sergeant Anthony David Beminio
Words cannot not describe the barbarity in which your life was taken from your loved ones. May the lord be with your family during these trying times. I pray I do not suffer the same fate but if I do I hope it will not be in vein. I will honor you by serving my community with the utmost regard for integrity honor and courage. Rip in sir.

I'm so sorry Tony, for you and your family. You were beloved by everyone at the station. There is gaping hole now with you gone and unrelenting anguish abounds. Heaven will be much brighter with you there. We were blessed to have you.

I feel how weak and fruitless must be any word of mine which should attempt to beguile you from the grief of a loss so overwhelming. But I cannot refrain from tendering you the consolation that may be found in the thanks of the Republic they died to save. I pray that our Heavenly Father may assuage the anguish of your bereavement, and leave you only the cherished memory of the loved and lost, and the solemn pride that must be yours to have laid so costly a sacrifice upon the altar of freedom.
Yours, very sincerely and respectfully,
Abraham Lincoln

All PD Departments, worldwide, have extraordinary persons in the work they do for Us. I'm a convicted felon from 1976 of GTA. That's Grand Theft Auto for those not in law enforcement. Our officers are just the same as you and I, in All Ways, but, they have the worst job in our and even before our times. My Grandfather was a Burbank, Ca Police officer and killed in the line of duty in early 1930s. These men and women, in this job choice, struggle in their jobs just like us. Every time I see another uncalled for rampage, I literally cry. Being in my kinda lower mid sixties, the minds of those below this age has changed for the worst! There is no concern of the life of others not being instilled, pounded, into our youngsters. This is just on of many things I've seen not instilled by parents, teachers, etc., that we as a society must start doing. We are here in this life to help each other be better for our self's and those around us. One easy thing we can do, don't turn away from that homeless person or the person walking past you, smile and say "Hi how are you today?" Just that little thing may brighten their out look of that day. I've learned by just doing the above gives hope that they do matter. All lives matter people, every moment,,,

My condolences to the family of Sergeant Anthony David Beminio. May all who are touched by the lost of Sergeant Beminio take comfort in Jesus words found at John 5:28,29 where he said that there would be a resurrection. Just think of the time when you will see your loved ones again, in paradise conditions, here on earth. I am sorry for your lost.

I had the honor of going to sergeant Bemonios former police department and saying thank you to one of the officers. What that officer told me that day has stuck with me this past weekend. "Right now we need all of the love and support from everyone in our community, we lost 2 good officers". As your family and family in BLUE prepare to say their final goodbyes, I hope and pray you will be with them as it is never easy saying goodbye to a loved one.
May God and the angels wrap their arms around everyone and give comfort. RIP Tony.

Dear Anthony:
This is becoming a nightmare; writing a reflection to yet another of my fellow brothers in blue, taken away by vermin. But, it is a labor of love for you, that I write this. There are many fraternities in this world that one can belong to, but NONE as great as ours. And you will always be a member because you are an American Hero.
Ours is a truly simple, yet complex profession. We answer the cry of the wolf at the door, miss every holiday and special family event, for less pay than can be justified, live with suspicious eyes and scorn, scrutiny like none other, leave our families for incredibly long hours, so that the very people in this great nation we swore to protect, can enjoy the rights of ALL Americans. Baby sitter, marriage counselor, investigator, dog catcher, you name it, the public expects us to do it. And we do…day after day after day. We are called when needed, resented when we act, scrutinized with bias, and yet we do the job with all we have in us. It’s called professionalism.
I hope that your family, the Des Moines Police Department, and the State of Iowa, can heal from this horrific act of cowardice. I pray that Almighty God holds you close to His heart, in His hand, and I am certain, He welcomed you home. Thank you for your service, your commitment to duty and your sacrifice. God bless you, all our law enforcement officers, and God bless the United States of America.

I am a private citizen in Indianola, Iowa.
It saddens me to hear of a young officer who had so much zest at being a good officer to only be taken too soon. I didn't know you Officer Martin but I have family in Blue and former friends who wore the blue uniform. Your family, friends, and brothers and sisters in blue at the Urbande Police Department all are in my thoughts and prayers. Your community and many other communities are mourning with everyone right now!
Thank you for your service and may you rest in peace!
