A police officer should be remembered not by how he died, but how he lived! A great man has gone to secure a safe path for the rest of us to follow. Thank you to you, your family and the Taylor County Sheriff's Office. Our country is a little less safe without you. Rest in Peace Brother!

Scott brother bear they say the lord works in mysterious ways. I hadn't talked to you in almost a year and Sunday of last week you popped into my head. I called that night and we talked for almost 3 hours. You were going fly up to the farm in February to make maple syrup and catch up. When I heard the news today I was sick to my stomach. I cut my proverbial teeth in law enforcement with you in Brooksville in 2005. With 12 years on the job now me in Hartford and you in Taylor County I can honestly say those were some of the best times in my life. Ill never forget the night I was in a foot chase down Shane Street crossing MLK and you cut him off with your car, Or chasing guys together in Hillside estates. The two of us are the sole reason our sarge went bald! Those memories, and now yours will live with me till my dying day. I know your walking a beat upstairs now just wanted you to know I sent a text to your phone today at around 1500 telling you I loved you like a brother. I miss you buddy 117 & 121 forever.
