May God grant you eterna peace and may He reflect his benevolent countenance on your family and your sweet, innocent child. No greater love hath an individual than to lay down their life for their fellow human (my interpretation). May you rest in eternal peace and know that your fellow FAMILY in BLUE will FOREVER watch over your child and family to insure that they never WANT, NEED or SUFFER in any way. A portion of a letter written by President Abraham Lincoln, printed in the Boston Evening Transcript on November 25, 1864.
“I feel how weak and fruitless must be any word of mine which should attempt to beguile you from the grief of a loss so overwhelming. But I cannot refrain from tendering you the consolation that may be found in the thanks of the Republic (she) died to save.
I pray that our Heavenly Father may assuage the anguish of your bereavement, and leave you only the cherished memory of the loved and lost, and the solemn pride that must be yours to have laid so costly a sacrifice upon the altar of freedom.
Yours, very sincerely and respectfully,
A. Lincoln”

May god bless the Zerebny family during this difficult time. My heart goes out to her 4 month old baby, who will never know his/her mother because of a senseless act by a so called human being. It angers me to know that the baby will only hear stories of his/her mother. I hope you can ready this one day baby Zerebny, your mother is a hero who gave her life protecting the citizens of Palm Springs, and her memory will live on through all who put on a uniform and badge. God bless you!

A Prayer for Police Officer Lesley Zerebny:
Lord God, you are always faithful and quick to show mercy. Our Sister-in-Blue, Police Officer Lesley Zerebny, of the Palm Springs, California Police Department, was taken from us suddenly and violently in the Line-of-Duty. Come swiftly to her aid, have mercy on her, and comfort her family, friends, and colleagues by the power and protection of the Cross. Heavenly Father, as we mourn the death of our Sister-in-Blue, Police Officer Lesley Zerebny, show us the immense power of your goodness and strengthen our belief that she has entered into Your presence. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
“God blesses those who are poor and realize their need for him, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs. God blesses those who mourn, for they will be comforted. God blesses those who are humble, for they will inherit the whole earth. God blesses those who hunger and thirst for justice, for they will be satisfied. God blesses those who are merciful, for they will be shown mercy. God blesses those whose hearts are pure, for they will see God. God blesses those who work for peace, for they will be called the children of God. God blesses those who are persecuted for doing right, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs." [Matthew 5:3-10 NLT]
"For the policeman does not frighten people who are doing right; but those doing evil will always fear him. So if you don't want to be afraid, keep the laws and you will get along well. The policeman is sent by God to help you. But if you are doing something wrong, of course you should be afraid, for he will have you punished. He is sent by God for that very purpose. Obey the laws, then, for two reasons: first, to keep from being punished, and second, just because you know you should." [Romans 13:3-5 TLB]
"There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends." [John 15:13 NLT]
"Well done, my good and faithful servant." [Matthew: 25:21 NLT]
