Sergeant Steve Owen led a great life and served his community with dedication and professionalism. His life was taken too soon through an act of cowardice. We will continue to remember all the great things he accomplished in his time with the Sheriff’s Department, and we will remember who he was as a person. I did not know him personally, although after reading some of the reflections left on his page I can imagine he was a kind and selfless person.
