It has just come on our news here in the UK of the senseless killings of this fine officer and his colleagues. May you rest with the angels, knowing that you served with distinction, honour, and helped so many people. When an officer goes on duty, whether here in the UK or in other countries of the world, they know not what they are going to face. It saddens me that this happens. My heart and my blessings go out to your family and that of your colleagues.

My thoughts and prayers are for Matthew Gerald, his family, and for all the members of the law enforcement community that lost a loved one today. Our hearts are broken but we remain steadfast in our belief that evil will only triumph when good men do nothing. And we will not stand by and do nothing nor will these officers ever forget their sacrifice.
