To some the Red, Blue and Gold are just colors; to others it’s a family crest. God Bless and deepest sympathy for the family-friends-fellow law enforcement, fire fighters and emergency personnel.

Sondra, my heart hurts for you, your family, and your brothers and sisters in Blue. I was heartbroken watching this all unfold, but it crippled me when my wife told me Brent had been taken from you. As I tried to sleep , Mendy scrolled through the countless videos of coverage. My son (6) observed a photo of Brent and became upset. Only a year ago had Brent held Matson’s Flat Stanley for him to send it on its way to Flowermound. I pray and will continue to pray every day for you, your family and department. We love you. God Speed Brent. In valor there is hope.

Your service and sacrifice will not be forgotten. You stood bravely against a coward whose warped intention was to harm those there to protect many who hate you simply because of the uniform you wear. Rest easy knowing that your brothers and sisters in blue will take up the fight and hold the line. My thoughts and prayers are with you, your family, your agency and our country.
God speed.

To the Family of Police Officer Brent Thompson
I was sadden when I heard of the death of Police Officer Thompson and the other officers. Please try to take comfort in Jesus words found at John 5:28, 29 where he said that there would be a resurrection. Just think of the time when you will see all your loved ones again. Once again, my deepest condolences to you and your family.
