Reflections for Inspector James Guida
Lord Jesus, as we watch our nation’s brave law enforcement officers succumb to the wicked and evil in this world, it becomes difficult for us to pick up and move forward. Our communities are on the brink of exploding with tension. In light of the law enforcement officers who are no longer with us, I pray for endurance for our communities and law enforcement agencies. Carry us through this time of strife, that through our struggles, our bonds may grow even more unbreakable. In Your mighty and holy name, I pray. Amen.
“And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.” [Isaiah 6:8 ESV]
“Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.” [Psalm 23:4 ESV]

You will always be a hero. The job was a priority. We loved you Dad. I miss you and thank God you you helped us. In true respect you tried your best. I'm proud of you. I know you have wings. Rest in Peace
You're with your loved ones now and you can rest. Amen and God bless. You're always in my prayers and heart.
I will always be the daughter you said goodnight to when you were a officer.
I will always be the 20 something who carried your newspaper article in my wallet.
I will always be your daughter.
Thank you for instilling core parts of me that are necessary to me living a clean life.
I will do my best to honor your wishes and our immediate families.
You don't have to worry anymore. I took care of Jack for you. Show me signs like hawks and songs. Let your soul be free.
You were a strong man.

Today marks 5 years since NYPD Inspector James Guida left us from 9/11 cancer. Jimmy was one of the good ones and one of the best cops I had the pleasure to work for and know. You are missed... Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. Fidelis Ad Mortem.
