A police officer should be remembered not by how he died, but how he lived! A great man has gone to secure a safe path for the rest of us to follow. Thank you to you, your family and the Auburn Police Department. New England is much less safe without you. Rest in Peace Brother.

The citizens of Auburn MA will never let the memory of Officer Ronald Tarantino Jr. fade from memory. They will remember him as one who "bore the sword" to protect the citizens of Auburn. His memory will live in perpetuity. There are no memorials for the criminal.

It saddens me to hear this especially after just returning from the police unity tour national memorial in Washington, D.C. Our son, a sergeant, road for a friend of his who was shot last year. Our blessings go out to this family and we pray the number of names read next year are fewer...god bless our peace officers and keep them safe in their efforts to keep us safe!!
