The Wall They walk the wall at night Not conscious to their plight Fending off the demons of darkness At great personal sacrifice They walk the wall at night Securing what is right Giving all they have Honoring their fallen comrades They walk the wall at night So we may slumber in peace Thoughtless to their sacrifice Thoughtless in the night They walk the wall at night We pass them by…. Our lips quiver to say “thank you” But our voice falls silent…… This was written to honor all the soldiers of the military and civilian law enforcement as well, that we take for granted every day. You might say...”Well it is their choice, they are compensated”… yes it is their choice…thank God someone is willing to make that choice… Ask yourself, would you? Would you make that sacrifice? Say “Thank You!” when you encounter one of these brave men and women……they will appreciate the recognition, although they do not seek it….

On behalf of my family, I extend our sincerest condolences on the grievous loss you suffered when Agent Barraza was killed.
To the Barraza family, fellow officers, and all who call Jose beloved, my heart goes out to all of you and may you find comfort in your loved ones and your strength in your faith. When my son was killed, the entire law enforcement community in our area embraced us in a circle of love and support, and I know you will receive the same support. It makes the unbearable less torturous, and I pray for your solace.
This reflection is sent with the utmost respect for the dedicated service Agent Barraza gave to his community and the citizens of our country, and for the supreme sacrifice he and his family made on April 18, 2016.

My Son!!!!! Agent " Joey" Barraza, there are no words that could start to covey the hole that my heart has since you left this earth. As your mother, I am so proud of what a man you became through all the trials and tribulations of the boulders we needed to cross in order for you to make your mark on earth. Your sons, (Joey and Josh), your sisters, (Stephanie and Catalina), your brother, (Anthony), your friends, your dad and I; could not have asked for a better daddy, brother and son, than the one God gave us. Baby boy, we all miss you more than we ever dreamed possible. However, from the day you were born, you knew where you were going and how to get there. You were ALWAYS focused, dedicated and thought of others first, even to your last breathe. That's must be why God picked you first. Mijo, you protected our borders on earth, now you're protecting our borders in heaven. A job well done, my son!!!! I love you and miss you, but no one can ever take you away from me, as you'll always be in my thoughts, prayers, dreams, heart and memory till we meet again, I LOVE YOU SON, Love MOM.
