Reflections for Police Officer III Allen Lee Jacobs

As I sit here, I can only recollect the time we all traveled back and forth to the academy, You and Brandon talking your gamecock clemson pride...our fantasy games headed by Jake, the talks of motorcycles...the crazy work outs...those energy drinks....Then when we graduated, our conversation, the gatherings...keeping each other motivated through FTO, then finally getting on our own..up until our last meeting before I left SC..You will always be my brother and I love you guy..Rest Easy

this officer stopped and questioned me after making a questionable turn off the highway, As he talked to me he showed me the true face of the city and offered me directions to my apartment complex that I moved into now.
He talked to me with respect, and mad me feel welcome in this new city. He made me feel good in this new city.

Our children attended high school with you. That means that our family had the privilege to sit and cheer you on and watch you along with our children as you praise the Lord with your singing and quoting verses of the Bible during school events. We cheered you on then and one last time today, well done our friend, well done. The Luna Family (Yolanda, Alejandro, Gloriana and also Andrew Carr).

"The Final Inspection"
The policeman stood and faced his God,
Which must always come to pass.
He hoped his shoes were shining.
Just as brightly as his brass.
"Step forward now, policeman.
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My church have you been true?"
The policeman squared his shoulders and said, "No, Lord, I guess I ain't,
Because those of us who carry badges can't always be a saint.
I've had to work most Sundays,
and at times my talk was rough,
and sometimes I've been violent,
Because the streets are awfully tough.
But I never took a penny,
That wasn't mine to keep....
Though I worked a lot of overtime
When the bills got just too steep.
And I never passed a cry for help,
Though at times I shook with fear.
And sometimes, God forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around
Except to calm their fear.
If you've a place for me here,
Lord, It needn't be so grand.
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't.....I'll understand.
There was silence all around the throne
Where the saints had often trod.
As the policeman waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, policeman,
You've borne your burdens well.
Come walk a beat on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in hell."

Killed by a coward, a coward that killed a good and decent man, a man who had the courage to step up and say pick me I will face the evil that feeds off our society, off of the weak the cripple those who can not fight for themselves, that was my brother Allen Lee Jacobs, I never got the chance to meet him but, he was my brother tied to me by that unbreakable line of blue. You are a great an selfless man brother Jacobs and I wish I had have met you in this life. Avenue of the Fallen

Standing at attention in their class “A“uniforms, badges gleaming and shoes like glass, are your brothers and sisters of Law Enforcement. All of whom have previously paid the ultimate price.
Today, like many others, they welcome you to this wonderful place.
As you march down the Avenue of the Fallen, all eyes focus on you as if to say “it’s OK, you’re with your eternal partners.”
A salute is followed and a tear can be seen on so many faces.
Welcome, you served well.
Now come join us in the ranks, another is coming home.
