Lord God, you are always faithful and quick to show mercy. Our Brother-in-Blue, Patrolman David Ortiz, of the El Paso, Texas Police Department, was taken from us suddenly and violently in the Line-of-Duty. Come swiftly to his aid, have mercy on him, and comfort his family, friends, and colleagues by the power and protection of the Cross. Heavenly Father, as we mourn the death of our Brother-in-Blue, Patrolman David Ortiz, show us the immense power of your goodness and strengthen our belief that he has entered into Your presence. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Sad for the family and his fellow officers. People have to slow down a pay attention especially for Motorcycles. One of our cousins a guard at Rahway State Prison in NJ on his way to work was driven off the road and resulted in his death by someone not paying attention and passing on at a high rate of speed. Fortunately the NJ State Police caught him and he too suffered the consequences.

Rest in peace Patrolman David Ortiz, you will always remain in our prayers. We saw you working tirelessly to make society a better place but that was no to be. With tearful eyes we sadly saw your loving and selfless heart stop beating. Even though your sudden and untimely early death tearfully breaks our hearts, it proves to us God's desire to take for himself one of his and our very best.
