Officer Maceira, it has been 47 years since you were taken from us. New England law enforcement has continued to thrive, learn and become safer due to the traditions and sacrifices you, your family, and many others have made for us. Thank you for military and 3 weeks of law enforcement service.

Officer Maceira, today is the 46th anniversary of your passing. I cannot help but wonder what became of the rabble who took your life and what emotional scars may have been left on your partner and how that Officer dealt. These things are not often known outside of a small circle. But I hope all saw justice in it's own individual form.
Brother, you were murdered at the start of what should have been a long and fruitful career and that is a horrid shame and your family was cheated out of many years with you. I pray you are resting comfortably, now and for the rest of eternity.

Patrolman Maceira, you did your best in the very short time you were a cop. No one will ever know the impact you could have had on the City of Boston had these thugs not killed you.
Thank you for your service to the United States, the Commonwealth and the City of Boston.
God Bless and may you forever Rest in Peace, Brother.
