Praying for her family at this time of loss. May they be very proud of her service, even though she was only there a short time her attitude no doubt was to serve her community and may GOD bless her for that even though it was a short time. May GOD be with you.

A police officer should be remembered not by how she died, but how she lived! A great woman has gone to secure a safe path for the rest of us to follow. Too young, too soon. Thank you to you, your family and the Prince William County Police Department. Rest in Peace Sister

"Somebody killed a policeman today,
And a part of America died.
A piece of our country he swore to protect
Will be buried with him at his side.
The suspect who shot him will stand up in court,
With counsel demanding his rights,
While a young widowed mother must work for her kids
And spend alone many long nights.
The beat that he walked was a battlefield, too,
Just as if he'd gone off to war.
Though the flag of our nation won't fly at half mast,
To his name they will add a gold star.
Yes, somebody killed a policeman today,
It happened in your town or mine.
While we slept in comfort behind our locked doors,
A cop put his life on the line.
Now, his ghost walks a beat on a dark city street,
And he stands at each new rookie's side.
He answered the call and gave us his all,
And a part of America died."

Lord I ask for courage

Courage to face and
Conquer my own fears...

Courage to take me
Where others will not go...

I ask for strength

Strength of body to protect others
And strength of spirit to lead others...

I ask for dedication

Dedication to my job, to do it well
Dedication to my community
To keep it safe...

Give me Lord, concern
For others who trust me
And compassion for those who need me...

And please Lord

Through it all
Be at my side...

Even one day in a Police Officer's shoes, you walked more than most will ever in a lifetime.

Rest In Peace, Sister.

I did not know you personally. I read the news article and googled your name. Its a shame what happened, and as I sit here by my computer thinking what you have went thru, I reflect on myself that im not doing enough to make the world a better place. It is so honorable, but scary, what you did as your job, to protect life and keep peace. I will remember you. Your not just another news story. If something good can come out of this bad situation, is that you got one person to stop, reflect on there own life, and that might be enough, to make a difference in the world tomorrow.

Thank you for being brave and trying to make the world a better place.
Sincerely, Jason

This is tragic on so many levels. My gosh, I'm old enough to have been her mother. I look at her face and think of my own 2 adult daughters. My oldest daughter is a Firefighter/EMT, HAZMAT trained Responder, and 911 Dispatcher. Dispatchers truly care about their Officers and their safety. The loss of an Officer resonates throughout the Emergency Services families. My most sincerest condolences to all the families of Blue and Blood who have suffered the terrible loss of this brave young woman. May you rest in peace.
