Reflections for Police Officer Ashley Marie Guindon
Officer Down. The worst thing anyone can hear. This is so sad that a young police officer, trying to help the community, is killed in the line of duty. Myth good Lord keep her safe in the palm of His hand and be with her family during this terrible time.

I don't know what to say. This strikes deep in my heart when someone dedicated to keeping the peace and protecting others is struck down while doing what their heart yearned to do. As a combat vet I have seen too many lifeless body bags and when I came home I hoped I was finished with all of that. Yet here I am today heart broken again over another tragic loss of another American hero. The mentality of people who believe they have the right to take another life automatically lose their right to live. An eye for an eye and a life for a life is not a nursery rhyme.
May the family of officer Guindon find a small comfort that her tragic and ugly death has broken the hearts of many fellow Americans. May God give you peace in the midst of your tears.

Rest easy sister, you have stood your watch with pride and professionalism even for a day. You obtained that 1% goal in your life and you earned the privilege to stand proud at the Gates. Go to the promised place where you can look down to see your brothers and sisters continue what you achieved. Thank you for your service. May the light of Christ ease the pain on the ones you have loved, and those friends and family who have loved you in return.
