A sincere, but very sad thank you, Officer Guindon, for giving your life while in the line of duty of protecting the citizens of Prince William County and for your service with the U.S. Marine Corps. It's never easy for those left behind, but when you lose someone so senselessly and unexpectedly we all feel the shock. May God bless and be with you, your loving family and those who were impacted by your life, and the Prince William County Police Department. May you rest in heavenly peace as you are now in God's hands.

Today's a day to think about and be grateful for life. To be grateful for everyday we put on any of our uniforms and get to go home. For all of us that are doing that, we are living our dreams, we've had that chance to experience the life we always wanted. We take it for granted and get complacent. When we all got sworn in, be it police, fire or medic, and we took that oath to fulfill the job we wanted so bad to do, to run towards danger....if you knew you would die with your oath your first day, would you have continued? You took that oath, you knew you had the chance, you still went forward. Thank you, we'll keep your dream going from down here.
