John 5:28, 29 - "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out". I pray that everyone can find peace in knowing that we will see this officer as well as many others again in Paradise soon. Until then, please accept my condolences.

Lee, it's been one year since you started patrolling the streets of gold. Your sacrifice down here will never be forgotten! Thank you for your dedicated service to The Great State of Mississippi and the citizens you were sworn to protect! Continue to rest in peace my friend and fellow LEO Brother!

Lee:
I spent 35 years of my life wearing a badge and gun, keeping our solemn vow, "Protect and Serve". In that time, I buried several of my friends and fellow officers. Having been involved in a deadly shootout years ago, I still ask our Heavenly Father why was I so lucky to survive and so many of my friends were not.
My prayers are to you and your family, knowing that they, like you, will always be a part of the Thin Blue Line. Giving your life to protect others has exemplified what an officer is willing to do. You, sir, are an American hero. As said in the Bible, "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God". Rest in peace my brother, Godspeed and may our Heavenly Father bring peace and comfort to your family.
"Above all else, honor".

On behalf of my family, I extend our sincerest condolences on the grievous loss you suffered when Lee was killed.
To the Tartt family, fellow officers, and all who call Lee beloved, my heart goes out to all of you and may you find comfort in your loved ones and your strength in your faith. When my son was killed, the entire law enforcement community in our area embraced us in a circle of love and support, and I know you will receive the same support. It makes the unbearable less torturous, and I pray for your solace.
This reflection is sent with the utmost respect for the dedicated service Special Agent Tartt gave to his community and the citizens of Mississippi, and for the supreme sacrifice he and his family made on February 20, 2016.
