My heart is saddened for my brother Major Barney's family and at his tragic passing at the hands of a common criminal. I pray for strength for his wife and two sons. RIP Warrior, you ended your watch with honor and distinction.

God bless and keep you sir. America lost a true hero, you were standing watch and doing what you have done for 27 years-protecting our fellow citizens from harm and evil. You upheld that oath you took so long ago and our country is better for it.

Your wife and children are hurt, but for the rest of their days will carry the solemn pride of laying such a costly sacrifice on the altar of freedom.

You are home and safe now. We will stay strong and stay in the fight.
